AFP Honors Congressman Tim Burchett with 2026 Pioneers for Prosperity Award

KNOXVILLE, TN – Americans for Prosperity (AFP) presented U.S. Congressman Tim Burchett (TN-02) with its 2026 Pioneers for Prosperity Award, recognizing his principled record of standing up for taxpayers and fighting for greater accountability in Washington.

Congressman Burchett stood with Tennessee taxpayers to advance the One Big Beautiful Bill, protecting tax relief for hardworking Americans while taking important steps to rein in Washington spending.

He has also stood firm against extending fraud-ridden Obamacare expansions that waste taxpayer dollars and double down on a broken status quo. At a time when Washington too often responds to failed programs by spending even more money, Burchett has pushed for accountability and reforms that put patients and taxpayers first.

AFP has worked alongside Burchett for years, dating back to his service as Knox County mayor. His continued focus on government accountability reflects priorities AFP has consistently championed at both the state and federal levels.
